My family invented a few games years back, and always found a brick wall when we tried to find someone to take them over and market them. These were fully completed. I suspect that a game in the development stage, as you describe yours, will be even more difficult to sell.
I’m not trying to discourage you, but here’s the difficulty. You probably aren’t going to get outside funding for your proposal at all. So, if you’re convinced that this can become a reality, you’ll need to find a way to fund it all yourself, or bring family and friends alongside you. Either way, it’s a lot of risk to take, and will still be extremely difficult to market, because the big companies have most of the toy and game shelves locked up.
If you’re going to do it, you’ve got a big challenge ahead of you, and you’ll need to spend considerable time on the business plan, just to evaluate if you can realistically make it profitable.
There are lots of good ideas out there, but making one into reality is a whole additional challenge. Great inventions or great products or great games aren’t enough. You’ve got to be a great businessman too.
