Yeah, ask them. Just tell them that you are interested. It might be fun to talk to older people anyways!

I find with my group of Magic, the Gathering, players are always looking for new blood. You should ask!! There is a LOT to learn, mostly that it will change. Good Luck.

of course .. but magic is really tough to get in now there are so many expensions and different restrictions

google Apprentice 32 and download it .. it has the name of all the cards and all that they do

what annoys veteran players is that you have to ask them what everything does when they play it.. so if you cut on that it will help your reputation a lot ..

nobody that plays MTG cares about the age really.. unless you act annoying

if u can make a good deck, then go ahead and play, magic is kind of similer to yugioh, but it has been around alot longer, and its harder to make a good magic deck than it is with yugioh

Give it a go. There’s nothing wrong with trying. I do suggest, however that you take a look through the basic rulebook, familiarise yourself with some both official terms (eg. haste, devour, cascade) and some casual play terms (ditch, mill) as well as the phases, . No-one expects you to know everything at first, but its a good idea to know the basics, which are explained here: /EN_Magic_Basic_Rulebook_20090710.pdf

Hi, I am a long time player. I have been playing for 15 years. I love seeing newblood and teaching. Do not be intimidated by those old guys lol They shouldn’t be there anyways you should be there lol. I am 28 years old I don’t go to the comic shop to play anymore but I still play casually with friends. If you are just starting out I reccomend that you buy a fatpack of the M10 core set. It is the new standard and is a great stepping stone for new players. It has a rule sheet and 50 basic land cards also an encyclopedia of the new set. Also get a preconstructed theme deck to familiarize your self. Make sure you can get a friend to play with you as well. The important thing is for you to just have fun.
