What is the best trading card game?

I am a big gamer so I have considered playing online card games but I still like the feeling of opening the plastic packaging on some real cards. Since I have already invested some money into the World of Warcraft card game(Not the computer game) and a lot into Magic. I am considering going back to Magic but I heard the latest abilities made it stupid(I’m not sure). What should I play? Please don’t mention Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon.

I say Magic.
ya Magic is definitely the way to go. the new rules are not bad, its just that some games u play will not allow you to play certain types of cards. Its still great fun and you should get back into it.
Pokemon
Magic the gathering is a lot of fun. The last three sets (Future sight, planar chaos, time spiral) have really made it a fun way to play. You’ll love these sets. Though if you want to be VERY competitive, this game can be expensive to play.
The best part about M:TG is that there are millions of people who play so its always easy to get a game.
World of Warcraft is a great runner up. its like magic “lite” as we say around the card shop that I work at. it works a lot like magic, with some interesting variant rules, and can be a little less expensive to be competitive in (There are epic cards which can value 40-50 dollars though!). but with only two sets to have to purchase from to get the best cards, its a bit cheaper.
Yu-Gi-Oh is of course amusing. If you like the show, that helps. If you like playing with a younger friend or are in your teens yourself, its easy to find folks who like to play this game. But this game is also expensive to get the ‘best’ cards for.
There are other games, Pokemon, Pirates, Universal Fighting System, Vs System, and more. These games are fun if you have someone to play with, but its hard to find a game. If you have a friend who you can hand a deck to and teach them a game, these are good options.
But, you sound like you’ve found the best two. if you have to choose, pick magic
me personally loves yugioh
I would say Digimon, although for now it is cancelled, however, I heard it is coming back this fall.
magic the gathering is personally my favorite because theres a lot of players out there and its been around for a while and currently it is doing the best in collection value and sale value way better than pokemon or yu-gi-oh are doing and i like playing magic cause its fun and there are tournaments every year that have big cash prizes and they do bring in the collectors who buy cards at high prices to so yeah magic is the way to go
I also say magic. Still being played,and still being traded.
